FEBRUARY 2025
Temperatures are falling and heat is expensive. With Valentines rapidly approaching, you might be scrambling to find a honey to keep you warm. Terrible idea, I say, if only to avoid the headache of whether two weeks of courtship warrants a gift (I’m avoidant). We suggest investing in a more rewarding companion, specifically this complex and delicious Minervois to keep you company through these frigid nights.
Minervois is an appellation located within the Languedoc in southwest France known for producing lively dry red blends of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre at exceptional values, and this wine is a perfect example. The palate is generous without being overbearing, showing ripe dark fruit with soft tannins on the finish. This is a great match for grilled lamp and hearty cheeses, or flying solo on the couch, wrapped in a cozy sweater binging season 3 of some garbage spinoff IP as you craft a risky DM. Trust me, I’m an expert. |
