It has come to my attention that I’ve developed a reputation as “the grumpiest man on Larchmont”. First off: how dare you. You should see the guys at Corridor. Second off: I am a great hang. If anyone knows how to have fun it’s me. Whether it’s drinking wine in my backyard, or drinking wine in my study, or drinking wine in the Wells Fargo parking lot, cig dangling as I contemplate what my life has become, I am a blast to be around. And I’m proving it all month by slashing prices on our July feature: the Este Vinho Verde Rose.
It all started with a brilliant idea I had: what if Vinho Verde, that delicious effervescent summer white… was a rose? Luckily for me, someone else already had that idea, and that person happened to be a wine maker, so I decided to buy their wine. I swear, the universe is crazy sometimes… The wine is light with dancing acidity, pairing the soft effervescence of a Vinho Verde with the strawberry notes of a dry rose. It was made to be enjoyed in the sunshine, by itself or with fresh greens. If I ever look grumpy, it’s only because I’m not holding a glass of this. |
