What is there left to say about the strange and trying times we now find ourselves living in? We are so fortunate to still be open and operating, so another monthly selection rolls out in unusual circumstances.
We thought a “joyous” wine would be in order for this month…something to briefly take our mind off the “lock-in” drudgery and transport us to sense- memory of a more carefree time, and perhaps a prelude of happier times in the future.
This blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah is a classic southern French rose, showing juicy, bright red fruits on the nose (watermelon, raspberry, cherry) and a succulent, refreshing countenance on the palate. With fruit grown on schist soils in the hills of Cabrieres, the wine shows ample bright acidity and is a dry, very quaffable rose.
Supplies permitting, grill up some shrimp or make a simple seafood paella and this will be
he perfect match. Enjoy your (enforced!) time with your families, try to count your blessings and escape into a nice glass of rose once in a while. Thank you for all your ongoing support!
