So it’s not going to be a normal summer…Whatever your situation, we hope you can create a few moments of joy and fellowship with others, despite the restrictions. Even if you are just grooving with your inner circle, we think you will need an appropriate beverage to wash away your troubles and/or match up with your summer grub.
Nothing particularly new or innovative this month, but what a value! This is a lovely New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for an absurd price that is vibrant, aromatic and lively. Fermented and aged in stainless steel (native yeasts of course), this shows great complexity and presence on the palate. Gooseberry, lime and quince aromas combine, leading to a succulent, refreshing palate, finishing with a nervy acidity that balances the pure fruit flavors.
A versatile wine, this would be a great match with grilled seafood, stronger, more pungent cheeses, complex spicy dishes (Thai, Mexican etc.) or going in a completely different direction, a fresh summer salad.
