In the age of the lockdown, we are amazed and gratified to still have so many of you as customers. We can’t also ignore the fact that many of you are enjoying roses as part of your sequestered routines (for the sunset, for the food, for medicinal reasons…at this point, who cares really?!).
So we thought we would stay on the rose train for another selection this month and keep the whole thing going as best we can. To be honest, this fantastic rose from Chateau de Peyrassol was always in the running for a feature. An affordable member of the very classy stable of wines from this exemplary producer, this is a blend of roughly equal parts Grenache and Cinsault with a splash of Rolle. There is precision and elegance here, with loads of juicy watermelon, raspberry and baby strawberry fruit in
evidence. Bracing acidity keeps things refreshing, thirst-quenching and bright.
This is a great chance to sample the Peyrassol winemaking skills at a reasonable price, so perhaps grill up
some sausages and celebrate the good things in life that we still can. Thank you for all your ongoing support!
