We are on an autumnal red wine jolly at the moment, which seems appropriate… slightly colder evenings and heartier dishes need a complex red that helps create conviviality without being overwhelming.

In this case, we have a lovely version of the local red grape Schiava (or Vernatsch in the local Germanic dialect). This is a dangerously delicious pale red that makes a wide range of foods taste great…think about pork schnitzel, roast chicken, salmon, your fave cheese and yes, even the traditional Thanksgiving feast.
